Abstract: In response to California’s recent oil extraction phase-out initiatives in tandem with residents’ concerns over exposure to harmful petroleum pollution, the project seeks to remediate the Inglewood Oil Field, transforming it into a regional hub that champions regeneration, resilience, and community. Over a century of oil drilling has prevented development along the hills, as the landscape has been dominated by active and idle oil wells and other industrial equipment.
