Healing Homeland grapples with Landscape Architecture as a tool to learn family history and identity, layering stories with existing cultural resources to transform a war-scarred landscape. This project reimagines the world’s most dangerous air base as a refuge for the Okinawan people and island visitors, proposing a master plan for a connected, multi-generational community free of cars.
