The mission is to transform the Ventura River watershed through nature-based solutions, addressing the challenges posed by the removal of the Matilija Dam. This project intends to mitigate flood risks, recharge groundwater, revive riparian habitats, and enhance community opportunities along the watershed. Focusing on a key site in Casitas Springs, the design provides a powerful case study that harmonizes human and ecological needs, while inspiring future watershed restoration efforts.
