The Eaton Fire, which affected the Altadena and Pasadena communities in January 2025, destroyed the Eaton Canyon Nature Center. This nature center, located in the San Gabriel Mountains, was an educational as well as a recreational space. My goal for this project was to rebuild a nature center with a fire demonstration garden to educate the public on how to prepare their homes and businesses for wildfires through planting design and material choices.
